Bedford’s Matt Skelton has denied that he will be returning to the ring at York Hall on April 11.
It had been announced by Shamrock Promotions that the 48-year-old was scheduled to appear on their show next weekend.
However, Skelton rung the Times & Citizen this week to confirm that although talks had taken place, a deal couldn’t be arranged, so he won’t be fighting on the bill.
Bedford boxer Ryan Nandha is due to be back in action though as the 20-year-old has one win and one defeat to his name so far, losing his pro debut but then beating Kristian Laight on points in February.
Shamrock hope to feature 12 boxers, with Marco Stephenson and Nathan Graham included.
