An outstanding squad of Flitwick Dolphin swimmers competed in the City of Cambridge Open Meet and returned home with a super medal haul.
The team swam in events ranging from 50m to 400m over three days and achieved a total of 72 PBs, three gold medals, six silvers, three bronzes, a regional qualifying time and a new club record.
The girls dominated the medal haul, with Katie Tompkins (15) taking gold in the 200m breaststroke, silver in the 50m breaststroke, 400m freestyle and 100m butterfly, and bronze in the 100m breaststroke and 200m individual medley.
Eloisa Miller (10) won gold in the 400m freestyle, silver in the 50m and 100m freestyle, and bronze in the 50m breaststroke, while Sophie Fowler (10) triumphed in the 200m freestyle to win gold too.
Ben Rayner (13) took the silver medal in the 50m freestyle as a well-executed race also saw him achieve his regional qualifying time for this event.
He will now join Kai Boromeo and Autumn Handscombe in competing at the East Region Championships next month at Luton Inspire.
Special mention also goes to Jake Hickmott (10) who achieved a new club record in the 100m backstroke.
