Lidlington stumble to first league defeat
Lidlington suffered their first defeat of the season against Soulbury in Morrants Four Counties Division Five.
Lidlington were put into bat and struggled to 77-9 with only Hamayun Shahid (33) and Stuart Anthony (16) getting into double figures. A last wicket stand of 38 between Scott Moran (35) and Macauley Denton (3 not out) helped Lidlington to 115 with bowlers Fenton Price taking 3-11 and Nick Mead 4-32.
In reply Soulbury opener James Carter (51) and David Tooth (28) soon chased the runs down and, despite a lively spell from David Whitfield with 3-37, Lidlington lost by seven wickets.
