Lidlington recorded a 91-run victory against Stoke Hammond II to reclaim their place at the top of Morrants Four Counties Cricket League Division Six.
Batting first, Lidlington lost an early wicket, but steady batting from David Manyweathers (25) and John Richardson (25) laid the foundation for an exciting 96-run partnership between Nadeem Ahmed (66, including 8 fours) and Jake Hiscocks (39).
However, some fine bowling from Robert Tooth (3-46) and James Lane (2-31) restricted Lidlington to 199-7 in their allotted overs.
In reply, Stoke Hammond stuggled to 48-4 against some hostile bowling from Hiscocks with 3-25 in seven overs.
Man of the match Ahmed then took over and demolished the Stoke Hammond lower order with figures of 6.3 overs, five wickets for five runs.
Only Kutty Praiahathan (36), Nick Game (19) and James Lane (17 n/o) were able to offer any resistance and reach double figures for Stoke Hammond.
