Burns, who signed from Harlequins last summer, has been in superb form and added plenty of pace to the already speedy back line.

The 22-year-old, who started life as a winger and once racked up an impressive time of 10.8 seconds in the 100 metres, has crossed the whitewash seven times this season while also contributing to many more.

Having signed from Worcester Warriors in the Summer of 2014, 22-year-old Buggea has come on leaps-and-bounds this season to become an almost ever-present in the squad having only missed out on three games so far.

Comfortable on either side of the scrum, the powerful youngster is a hard-hitter who puts his body on the line time and time again.

Speaking about the re-signings, Bedford Blues director of rugby Mike Rayer said: “I’m delighted that Jordan and Josh have both put pen to paper on new deals.

“Their contribution to the squad has been clear for all to see and I’m hoping that they can continue to develop as players in the coming campaign.

“We’ve had a very busy few weeks, but we are in the process of talking to a number of players in the squad while also looking at areas that we want to strengthen next season.

“But we’ve also got four huge games to go in the Championship and finishing as high as possible is our primary focus.”
