Victory for AFC as league rivals falter

The new leaders leapfrogged Sundon Park Rangers on goal difference as they went down 4-0 at Henlow, with James Campbell bagging a hat-trick, plus Dan Allison on target.

In fifth are Sandy, as they won 3-0 at Bedford Sports Athletic, Nicky Albone, Jonnie Stratford and David Smith all finding the back of the net.

Marabese Ceramics now occupy sixth place after sharing the spoils in a 2-2 draw at Shefford Town & Campton Reserves, who scored through John Vooght and Gary 
Hillard.

Bottom of the table Bromham United are still looking for the first win of the season after goals from Antony Farr and Jahrome Joseph failed to prevent them losing 4-2 at home against Brickhill Tigers.

Elstow Abbey will now contest their first ever Bedfordshire FA Intermediate Cup Final at Ampthill Town FC on Wednesday, April 16 against Crawley Green Reserves after running out 5-0 home winners over Kent Athletic Reserves with goals from Ed L’Erario (3) and Dom Parrella (2).

In Division Two, AFC Oakley Sports M&DH Reserves are now within four points of Potton Town at the summit after beating the league leaders 3-1 on their own patch. Jamie Endersby, Matt Barnes and Kieran Souter netted the goals against a lone Town reply from Sam Worthington.

Sitting between these sides in second spot are Clifton who took their unbeaten ways up to six games in a 0-0 draw atKings AFC. Whilst fourth place Queens Park Crescents are now unbeaten in their last six starts after winning 3-0 at Potton United Reserves thanks to a hat-trick from Ayaz Hussain.

The biggest winners of the day were Cranfield 
United who claimed a 6-1 home victory over Renhold United Reserves.

AFC Harlington climbed out of the bottom two by recording their first win in 10 outings with a 4-0 home victory over Co-Op Sports.

Elsewhere, Great Barford took their winning ways up to four games with a 4-3 home win over AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College Reserves. Gary Canzano with a brace plus strikes from Will King and Ben Stock.

In Division Three, Stevington went top with a 5-2 home win over Kempston Athletic.

Up to third are Elstow Abbey Reserves who claimed their sixth away win on the bounce with an 8-1 victory at Kempston Con Club Sports after being only 1-1 at the break.

Having lost their last seven games AFC Bush returned to form with a 2-1 home victory over Ickwell & Old Warden Reserves, who replied through Matthew Bruney.

Second from bottom Clifton Reserves came from 3-0 down at half-time at home to Wilstead Reserves to share the points in a 3-3 draw thanks to goals from Gavin Stackman (2) and Sam West.

Elsewhere, Bedford Panthers were beaten 3-2 at home by Marston Shelton Rovers Reserves, while Kempston Hammers Sports took the points when Westoning failed to raise a side.

Division Four leaders FC Hougton were to retain their seasons unbeaten home 
ways as they drew 1-1 with Clapham Sports.

Still unbeaten on home soil are second place Meltis Albion Reserves who defeated Cranfield United Reserves 
3-0.

Wootton Village had a 4-1 home win over Atletico Europa, while Moggerhanger United were 6-4 home winners over Dinamo Flitwick.

Also hitting six were Mid Beds Tigers in a 6-1 home win over bottom of the table Shefford Town & Campton A.

Brad Dennis notched a hat-trick, George Melrose (2) and Jacob McHutcherson also scored, with Sam Larsen replying.

Bedford Park Rangers romped to a 6-0 home victory over Caldecote , while Flitwick Town Reserves won 2-0 at Sandy Reserves.
