Hotshot Hatters Zane Banton and Jemale McKenize-Lowe caught boss John Still’s eye as they fired hat-tricks in Town’s exciting 7-5 victory at AFC Dunstable in the first round of the Bedfordshire Senior Cup at Creasey Park on Wednesday night, writes Mark Wood.

The teenage pair terrorised AFC’s backline all evening, with former Portugal U19 international David Viana getting Town’s other goal, and Still admitted their performances had put them firmly in his mind.

He said: “We know Zane can score, and Jemale he’s done OK in the youth team so it was good to get a look at him.

“I knew more about Zane because I’ve worked with Zane for the past few months really and, although with Jemale he’s caught my eye, I’ve not really done too much with him.”
