Wasted journey for Town trio after England C clash postponed
Town trio Andre Gray, Simon Ainge and Adam Watkins had a wasted trip to Albania this week, as the England C friendly was cancelled on Tuesday evening due to a waterlogged pitch, writes Mike Simmonds.

All three had been named in the starting line-up, but a downpour before kick-off put paid to the match and a secondary venue was unable to be found.
Defender Greg Taylor, currently on-loan at Tamworth, had been forced to pull out of the squad with injury, but Luton boss Paul Buckle wasn’t too fussed the game hadn’t gone ahead.
He said: “At least they’ve had a nice rest! It’s great for the lads to go and get that experience and it’s an honour for them without doubt. It won’t do us any harm them not playing.
“Gray can come back and be nice and fresh when we go to Cambridge on Saturday as he’s a dangerous proposition when he’s up and running.”
