The 22-year-old forward signed on loan from mid-table Blue Square Bet South side Maidenhead United on Friday with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.

He is now hoping to make tracks as a full-time footballer after leaving his job delivering tyres from a depot in Wycombe.

Wall said: “I was moaning on Monday morning going back to work but by the Thursday/Friday I had signed for Luton and it has been a whirlwind.

“By Saturday I was up at Stockport. It’s been good but mental the last few days. I wasn’t on a contract at work.

“I just told them I wasn’t going to be coming back! It was good. This is where I’ve been trying to get for the last four years and I wasn’t going to turn it down.”
