Town striker Alex Wall has been praised for his impact in recent games by Hatters first team coach Hakan Hayrettin, writes Mike Simmonds.

The forward blasted a stunning winner against FC Halifax Town last weekend and came off the bench to help Luton fight back and draw with Aldershot Town on Tuesday night.

Hayrettin said: “He’s had a lot of bad luck this season. He had a virus, been injured, he’s come back, played development team and reserve team games.

“I’m happy for him because he’s had a hard time.”

Skipper Ronnie Henry added: “Alex has not really featured, so it’s well deserved as he’s had his niggles and his setbacks, so well done to him.”
