Walker’s relief at Town comeback

RELIEVED Hatters attacker Dan Walker was delighted to finally make his comeback in Wednesday’s Bedfordshire Senior Cup victory at Biggleswade, writes Mark Wood.

Having been sidelined for five months and unable to run following an operation on the IT band on the side of his knee, Walker had feared for the future of his career.

But after playing 45 minutes during the 1-0 win, he said: “Things are looking positive again now.

“It was five months since I last played a game. Then I had my op about three months ago now, so it’s been a long time.

“I’ve trained about four or five times and that’s my first proper run out – 45 minutes and I will look to play longer and longer.”
