Walker delighted to finally get taste of Town action

Attacker Dan Walker was pleased to finally make his first appearance for the Town this season as a second half substitute in the 0-0 draw with Wrexham at Kenilworth Road on Saturday, writes Mark Wood.

While frustrated he couldn’t help the Hatters to find a winner, he was glad his hard work in training has been recognised.

Walker admitted it had been a difficult game to get into, but almost laid on the winner when he picked target man Jon Shaw out in the box, only to see the striker strangely chose to take his cross on the chest rather than head goalwards, allowing the Red Dragons to clear.
