Versatile Parry happy to fill either role for Hatters

New Town signing Andrew Parry is happy to be employed in either defence or midfield for Luton next season, writes Mark Wood

Parry has played most of his youth football in midfield, but Hatters boss John Still is known to see him as more of defender, and the ex-Southport man is confident in either position.
He said: “The manager says he sees me as a centre-half. I’m happy to play there, I played there for the majority of the time I was at Blackburn Rovers.
“Most of the time I was at Southport I was in midfield but I think I can do a job there.
“As a defender first and foremost you hve to defend. When it’s time to get the ball down and pass it out from the back I am confident of doing that.”
And he believes his versatility will prove a bonus for Still, as Parry continued: “I think it is, I think he has seen me in both of them positions and must have seen something there.”
