UPDATED: Hatters chief Still targets one more signing before the transfer window closes

Calculating Hatters boss John Still admitted he is hoping to make another permanent signing before the end of the transfer window at the end of the month, writes Mark Wood.

Having swooped for defender Fraser Franks from Welling United this week Still revealed at today’s (Thursday) press conference he had his sights firmly fixed on another target.

Still revealed that he might be looking to let a couple of youngsters leave on loan, but there could be movement in too.

He said: “I do want to try and do that, but I might be bringing in one more as well, so it might all line up together.”

But he confirmed it would be on a permanent basis, intriguingly adding: “I’m not particularly looking to loan.

“We know who it is, and we’re just sitting and waiting and will see if we can make it happen.”
