Tyler makes a case for Hatters defence

Hatters goalkeeper Mark Tyler is delighted with his side’s defensive solidity this season, writes Mark Wood.

After goalless draws against Forest Green and Cambridge United this week, Town have now conceded just two goals in five games.

Tyler said: “It’s not as if anyone’s torn us apart. One’s a deflected free-kick and the other one’s a shank into the bottom corner because he said he’s going the other way.

“So it’s not as if it’s been a decent two goals against us and that’s a good pleasing thing. To restrict Forest Green to one shot all game then Cambridge only had two shots.

“The emphasis is not to lose the game. If it’s got to be 0-0 it’s 0-0. We’ve played well Saturday and we’ve stepped up again and hopefully we can grind out three points on Saturday.”
