Tyler admits he may have let things ‘slip’

POPULAR Hatters number one Mark Tyler has admitted complacency may have got the better of him as he lost his place in the team to former team-mate Kevin Pilkington earlier in the season.

Tyler, 34, has made 29 appearances this season but lost his place to Pilkington for almost three months after the 2-1 home defeat to Fleetwood in November.

He said: “I started the season, but probably by my own standards was a little bit complacent maybe, and Pilks did terrific when he was in.

“I fought hard and played well when my opportunity came again and I wanted to cement my place back in the team. Hopefully I’ve done that and long may it continue.”
