The 18-year-old centre-half joined on a month’s loan ahead of Saturday’s FA Trophy match at Cambridge United and scored with his first touch as Town drew 2-2 against the U’s.

And he was delighted to finally complete his move to Kenilworth Road after rumours had abounded of their interest.

On the decision to sign for the Hatters, he said: “Not difficult at all, it’s a prestigious club and that speaks for itself. Obviously with the following I’m happy to be here with the fans and they can get behind the team and to be honest I’m proud to be able to join a team that’s flying at the moment and we want to keep the results up.”
