Town youngster thrilled with new deal

HATTERS youngster JJ O’Donnell has hailed the arrival of new manager Paul Buckle after he penned a new three-year deal at the club last week, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 20-year-old was out of contract in the summer but, despite only making four appearances this season, has made quite an impression on Buckle in training and has now signed until 2015.

He said: “It’s brilliant. Since the new gaffer has come in, he’s given me a new lease of life. He’s great with us young lads, he believes in us massively. He stays out with us after training for one hour or two hours.

“We just work on some things that he thinks we can get better at.

“He believes in me, gives me a lot of confidence, lets me express myself how I want to play.

“He’s got things how he wants them to be, he’s very professional in what he does. He’s got a lot of belief in everyone and wouldn’t have us here if he didn’t want us. He’s rewarded me with my new contract, so it’s my turn now to repay him.”
