Town to send fringe players out on loan

Hatters have confirmed they will be sending out their younger players on loan this season, writes Mike Simmonds.

Both Jerome Jibodu and Jake Woolley played against Town for Histon on Thursday in a 1-0 win for Luton, courtesy of Zane Banton’s strike.

Woolley then got 84 minutes for Boreham Wood in a 1-0 defeat against Cambridge United on Saturday.

First team coach Hakan Hayrettin said: “It has to be the right club for Luton Town and for their development.

“We’re going to be looking for players who can’t get minutes for the first team to get out on loan.”

Histon boss Brian Page would like to take the pair temporarily, saying: “I’ll be sitting down and talking to John Still. I was impressed with them and we’d want to do something with a view to a loan deal.”
