Town to face Aldershot and Barnet next season

Luton Town will be facing Aldershot and Barnet next campaign after both were relegated from League Two on the final afternoon of the season yesterday.

Needing a miracle to stay up, the Shots lost 2-0 at Rotherham, who secured promotion in the process, dropping Andy Scott’s side back into the Conference.

Meanwhile, with six other sides also in relegation trouble, it was one of of Hatters’ boss John Still’s former clubs Barnet who went down after their 2-0 defeat at Northampton Town.

With another of Still’s ex-sides Dagenham & Redbridge also losing, a draw would have been enough for the Bees, but it wasn’t to be as they lost their League Two status on goal difference.
