Town snap up Rowe-Turner

HATTERS have made their sixth signing of the summer with former Leicester and Torquay defender Lathaniel Rowe-Turner joining on a two-year deal.

The 22-year-old is a left-back by trade but is equally comfortable at centre-half and is reunited with manager Paul Buckle, having previously worked together at the Gulls.

Born in Leicester, Rowe-Turner was part of the Foxes’ youth team that won the Premier League Academy League in 2006/07, while in the following season he was named City’s academy player of the year

He was released by the Foxes in 2010 though after failing to make a first team appearance and in February of that year, he joined Buckle at Plainmoor.

Rowe-Turner made almost 50 appearances for Torquay, the majority as a substitute before leaving the club at the end of the season.
