Town snap up defender Griffiths

Luton Town boss John Still has strengthened his squad with the addition of left back Scott Griffiths on a contract until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old has played for Still before, making over 200 appearances at Dagenham & Redbridge, when the boss signed him from non-league Aveley.

Griffiths played a huge part in Daggers’ promotion from the Conference, making over 200 appearances in the process, before joining Championship side Peterborough in October 2010.

After finding first team opportunities limited at London Road, he moved to Chesterfield on loan in 2010/11 and played 29 times for the Spireites as they won the League Two title.

Griffiths has also had spells at Crawley, Chesterfield again and Rotherham, while playing six times for League Two Plymouth Argyle this season, before being released by Peterborough.

The former England C international goes straight into the Town squad to face Ebbsfleet tomorrow, the game beats the weather, and will wear squad number 37.
