Town prepare to dip into transfer market

HATTERS boss Gary Brabin has hinted he may make a move in the transfer market due to injuries to midfield pair Keith Keane and James Dance, writes Mike Simmonds.

Just under a week remains until the January window closes, and so far, Brabin has made one signing, with Newport County striker Craig McAllister joining on loan.

Speaking after the 3-0 win over Hinckley United on Monday night, the manager said: “There’s loads of interest, but at the moment, we haven’t done anything and we’re not close to anything.

“We’ve certainly got to look at those areas, but I don’t want to bring bodies in for the sake of it.

“I’ve got the squad to a more workable size but if anything we’re a bit short on numbers, certainly quality in certain areas.”
