Town nearing a deal with Spiller

An achilles problem has meant he is yet to make a senior appearance after signing for Luton on a free transfer from Gillingham last summer.

Boss John Still said on Tuesday: “I think him and the club are in talks almost as we speak about an agreement in terms of his contract being cancelled.”

The Town chief is still looking to strengthen his squad, adding: “Hopefully we can do something in the next week or so. I’m hoping that will go through.”
