Town held by last-gasp Cobblers strike

An injury-time strike from Northampton Town saw Luton Town’s U18s held to a 1-1 draw in the Youth Alliance at Ely Way on Saturday.

Brett Longden and Harley Haag were both denied by Cobblers keeper Dean Snedker, before Town took the lead on 65 minutes when Jordan Davis netted.

In injury time, and with the Hatters looking set to seal their first home win, Northampton grabbed an equaliser when George Craddock found space in the box to fire home from 12 yards.

Hatters: Carpenter, Longden, Jibodu (Nash 30), Rees, DeBattista, Chabata, Davis, Banton, Amu, Haag (Ngwala 74), Burtenshaw.

Substitutes not used: Barnes, Stanley.
