Town can gain ground after Newport hiccup
Luton Town can gain ground in the Blue Square Bet Premier title race this afternoon after leaders Newport County lost 4-3 at Alfreton last night.
The hosts, who had won just one match at home previously, beating Luton 3-0, led 2-0 and 3-1, before surviving a late County comeback.
Former Town striker Aaron O’Connor scored his 13 and 14th goals of the season as County remain four points ahead of Luton, who host Dartford today.

Hatters will know before kick off whether they can leapfrog second placed Wrexham too, as they host Hereford United at 1pm.
Meanwhile, Hatters’ trip to Newport on Tuesday, December 4, will now be shown live on Premier Sports TV, with the game kicking off at 7.45pm.
