Town boss rules out selling stars

Town boss John Still admitted there has been interest in some of his stars during the transfer window, but doesn’t expect any of them to leave, writes Mike Simmonds.

With the deadline not until January 31, the speculation is going to mount over the likes of star striker Andre Gray, but Still wasn’t looking to sell anyone.

He said: “Yes, we have (had interest), but just to assure people, I’ve not had one player in my squad ask to leave, whatever the situation.

“As a club, I think our stance is quite clear. Our only interest is putting the best players that we can on the pitch.

“If there is to be any movement in or out, it will be for the benefit of the team, it can’t be for the benefit of the individual.”
