Town boss impressed by Cullen’s ambition

Landing former Hull City striker Mark Cullen was a real coup for Town boss John Still, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 21-year-old was released by the Premier League-bound Tigers and has had spells with both Bury and Stockport County during his career.

Still said: “I was really impressed with Cullen. He was so keen to come, was aware of me.

“He felt he could be playing higher and wants to, as he put it, have all the tools and wants us to teach him that.

“I was impressed with that and I thought he’d be a good one for us, so we’re really, really lucky there that he’s agreed to sign.”
