Town boss confident best is yet to come from Robinson

Town chief Paul Buckle believes the best is yet to come from striker Jake Robinson after he extended his loan from League Two side Northampton Town for another month on Monday, writes Mark Wood.

The 25-year-old has made five appearances since moving to Kenilworth Road, starting both of Town’s last two League matches and will remain with Luton until November 6, while he can also play in the FA Cup tie at Cambridge United.

Buckle said: “Since he’s come into the club we’ve picked up a lot of points. Normally you bring a loan in and they’ve not been playing.

“Certainly Jake’s no different, so I’m glad we’ve got him for another month. We’ve not seen the best of him yet, but I can assure you that the boy’s a very good player, he’s exciting and he really wants to stay.”
