Sweet wants to give Town trio chance to find new clubs

TOWN released a trio of players this week to give them the best possible chance of securing a contract elsewhere for next season according to managing director Gary Sweet, writes Mark Wood.

Long-serving defender Ed Asafu-Adjaye along with midfielders Charlie Henry and Christian Tavernier all departed, while the Hatters are also stepping up their search to bring new talent into the club.

Sweet said: “With the season ending for most clubs, players are becoming available now.

“We want to give them all the advantages of going to trial at other clubs.”
