Sweet admits defeat in McGeehan pursuit

Hatters have been forced to admit defeat in their attempts to sign Norwich City midfielder Cameron McGeehan on a permanent basis.

The 19-year-old had an excellent loan spell at Kenilworth Road, as he helped Town to the Skrill Premier title, playing 18 times and scoring three goals.

Luton had made a bid to acquire his services, but managing director Gary Sweet said: “Cameron won’t be coming to Luton in the foreseeable future after understanding his club’s valuation.”
