Striker Woolley determined to win Hatters pro deal

TEENAGE striker Jake Woolley is well aware he has to make his mark this season if he wants to earn a professional contract at Luton Town, writes Mike Simmonds.

The forward has seen both Alasan Ann and Newman Carney recently awarded their first pro deals after coming through the youth development system and is desperate to follow suit next year.

It was something of a breakthrough year for Woolley last season as he made his first team debut at Hinckley United in the FA Trophy, eventually playing five times in total.

His most memorable moment was his league debut though away at Darlington, when as a late substitute, he delivered an inch-perfect cross with almost his first touch that Stuart Fleetwood converted for a 1-1 draw.
