The U18s were 6-0 winners over Rothwell Corinthians in their FA Youth Cup tie on Wednesday, with midfielder Charlie Smith starring with a hat-trick alongside strikes from Ben Crilley, Arel Amu and Daril Ngwala.

Still said: “Charlie did well, so I was very pleased. That’s exactly why I want to give these young players the opportunity to say, look at what I’m doing and can I become a pro before my deal is up?”

Although Banton was handed his debut at Woking last Tuesday, Still confirmed he will now have to fight for his place with the rest of the squad.
