Still to treat opponents Cambridge United like any other

With the pair battling it out at the top of the Skrill Premier and the U’s being managed by former Luton boss Richard Money, Still played down the rivalry despite a recent spat of words between the two clubs.

He said: “I know Richard and I’ve known him for years and he’s always been a good manager for me.

“The way I’ve always looked at any situation I’m in, I never worry about other teams, I don’t worry about other people.

“When we play the games or we do the job, we’re not in it to be liked, I couldn’t care less.

“I have no comments on other teams, all I know is whether we play Cambridge tomorrow, whether we play Grimsby tomorrow, whether we play Fleetwood tomorrow, whether we play Dagenham tomorrow, I ain’t bothered I just want to go there and try and win.”

A number of football managers have famously waged mind games ahead of big games, but that is something Still has no intention of doing.

Instead he is keen to concentrate solely on the Hatters, adding: “I never get involved in sending messages, I never comment to try and unrest other teams.

“If other teams want to comment on Luton, and I understand why they do, I’m not talking about Cambridge, anyone, if they want to comment because they think it does this or it does that, I couldn’t care less because it doesn’t do anything.

“If I think there’s an answer to a question and someone says they’ve said this and they’ve said that, my answer is always the same, I couldn’t care less about them. They’re a good club that are doing very well as lots of clubs are, good luck to them, but all my time, all my effort, all my focus is on doing the best I can for this club.

“I don’t really have any comments on what other teams think of Luton. I don’t really have any comments on what other teams feel about Luton, be it players, be it managers, be it supporters. I’m not saying my way’s the right way, but it’s my way.”
