The boss has seen winger Scott Neilson undergo a hernia operation last week, while striker Stuart Fleetwood also needs one too.

Still said: “There will be a fitness and conditioning guy coming in to be part of our team. I need to have that in place for next season, without a shadow of a doubt, so that’s something I’m going to be working on asap.

“It was a vital part of players at Dagenham and Barnet and I can only equate it to what I had there.

“The likes of Marlon King, Darren Currie, Sam Stockley, people that we sold from there, they would never have progressed without that.

“At Dagenham there’s been many too. The transformation of (Solomon) Taiwo him when he came in, his power, strength and keeping fit was immense.

“Craig Mackail-Smith too, he was fit, strong, powerful. It’s vital, it really is. Technical, physical, mentality and psychology are all equal components.”
When asked if he had anyone in mind for the position, club, Still added: “Of course I have!”
