Still: There is time to win promotion

A ‘ride’ without limits is what has attracted manager John Still to drop down a division to head up ‘project’ Luton Town, writes Mark Wood.

The 62-year-old left League Two Dagenham & Redbridge after nine years in charge yesterday to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Hatters, after he had specifically been sought out by Town’s selection panel.

And while he doesn’t believe it is yet too late to get Luton in the play-offs and win promotion, he is equally prepared for a longer term outlook in a bid to get Town back into the Football League.

He said: “We have a great chance of promotion even this year and that’s important.

“With the greatest of respect anything is possible.”
