Happy Hatters boss John Still is pleased things have worked out for two-time Town keeper Dean Brill north of the border, writes Mark Wood.

The 27-year-old stopper had shone for Inverness Caledonian Thistle while on loan there this season, keeping seven clean sheets in 14 games for the Scottish Premier League side. Brill signed for Caley Thistle on a two-and-a-half-year-deal last week after the Hatters terminated his contract and Still was delighted it had worked out for him.

He said: “I’m really pleased for Dean that he’s got himself sorted. You know what, he’s a great guy and a great guy to work with, he really was a top, top bloke. When nice things happen to nice people I’m always happy.”

In fact Still was never in doubt about his ability, but felt that he needed to play games and was quick to recommend him to old friend Terry Butcher who was in charge there.
