With Town top of the Skrill Premier, there is every chance the stellar form of the likes of Andre Gray will have alerted clubs higher up the league echelon.

But Still wasn’t worried about fending off any bids as he said: “There’s nothing happening here, that’s for sure.

“I had this at the start of the season with the club and when I joined, that we would only do any business going out, if it’s in the best interests of the football club.

“If it isn’t, then no-one goes.”

Not being at a selling club anymore is a different experience to Still, who constantly saw his best players leave while in charge of former side Dagenham & Redbridge.

Three of them are now back under his command in Paul Benson, Solomon Taiwo and Scott Griffiths, who went to Charlton, Cardiff and Peterborough respectively.

When asked if it was a nice change, Still added: “It is, but because I knew the conditions and was part of creating those conditions at my former club, I had no problems with it.

“Because it was part of what we had to do to survive, that was the job.

“This is a different job, and if you agree a job, I always say, a deal’s a deal.

“That’s the deal, don’t moan about it after because you know it’s a deal, so I was comfortable with what I did there.

“Sometimes you get disappointed, of couse you do, but at the same time, I always knew that we were a selling club.

“The club fortunately left that side of it to me, so I could plan when it would happen and I didn’t really have any problems with it.”
