He said: “We brought in players with a bit more experience than Jide.

“We’re happy with those at the moment, but they’re not permanent, just to see us through this window closure and when we come out the other side, we’ll see where we are.

“That’s not to say we won’t extend loans, or bring someone in, but it was an area where we were bare.

“We looked for the right people permanently and the right people weren’t available.

“Instead of just bringing someone in, it made common sense to loan three players that I know really well.”
