Still happy for Rowe-Turner after defender nets Alfreton deal

Hatters boss John Still was delighted for defender Lathaniel Rowe-Turner after he earned a loan move to Conference rivals Alfreton Town on deadline day, writes Mike Simmonds.

Rowe-Turner had been on the transfer list since the end of last season as Still said: “I was pleased with that, he’s another one who I’ve made changes that hasn’t included him. He’s been a great lad, trained properly, hasn’t given us any grief.

“When they’re like that you want to help them.”

Still wasn’t overly concerned that midfielder Arnaud Mendy hadn’t found a club after he was put up for sale due to a breach of discipline.

The boss added: “If he doesn’t go, he doesn’t go, but I’m not wasting too much energy in that respect. I tried to help him find somewhere, but it’s down to him.”
