Still hails Hatters’ resilience despite spate of injuries


The likes of Alex Lawless, Jon Shaw, Jonathan Smith, Alex Lacey, Andy Parry and now Luke Guttridge have all faced lengthy spells on the sidelines during the campaign and Still was full of praise for the way his squad has coped.
He said: “I’ve heard people saying we’ve done all right because of this and that, but I’ll tell you if you look at the facts, we’ve missed a lot of Alex Lawless this season, we’ve missed Jonathan Smith for half a season, we’ve missed Lacey for quite a bit of the season now, and these were people that were playing quite regular.

Hide Ad“We’ve missed Parry for quite a bit of the season, we’ve now lost Guttridge for an important part of the season, we missed Jon Shaw for a lot of the season.
“We’ve lost players this year. We have lost a lot of players this year.
“And people don’t realise we have and that’s why I think that what we’ve done is even more extraordinary.”
