Hatters boss John Still believes transfer-listing both David Martin and Solomon Taiwo will allow them to pursue other avenues before pre-season training starts.

Both have a year left to run on their contracts at Kenilworth Road, as Still said: “If Dave’s disappointed and wants to play regularly, I think he might have to look at other options.

“He’s still got a year with us, who knows what happens? I just want him to feel that I’ve given him another option to do something else.

“With Solly, I said you’ve got a year left, you can stay and work your way to get in, but I don’t want you banging on my door saying why aren’t I getting a chance?

“I’m going to give you the option, it’s up to you, you haven’t got to go.

“You can make that choice to cement a place somewhere else, because there are clubs that have enquired about him.”
