Keeper Dean Brill’s loan move to Scottish Premier League side Inverness Caledonian Thistle could just be the start of several Luton Town stars moving on, writes Mark Wood.

Boss John Still made five players available for transfer at the end of last season – Brill, Scott Rendell, Arnaud Mendy, Lathaniel Rowe-Turner and Simon Ainge – and is expecting permanent moves for a number of the others in the coming weeks.

He said: “It’s something we are looking to do. Over this next week or so we will find ourselves doing something.”

Brill, meanwhile, will remain with the Caledonian Stadium club until January 5 as he challenges for a place in former England captain Terry Butcher’s side.

He tweeted: “Absolutely buzzing to get the chance to play in the SPL!! Can’t wait to get up to the highlands and start working hard for #ICTFC”

The 27-year-old has made 109 appearances in two spells with the Hatters, but came under fire at the tail end of last season due to some questionable decision-making, particular in the 2-2 home draw with Newport County.

Brill played 12 times during his second stint after joining in the summer and had attended Town’s first pre-season session on Monday.
