The 24-year-old, who scored four in 49 games for Luton while on loan from Norwich City in 2008-09 as he helped the club win the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, joined Skrill Premier rivals Cambridge United last week.

When asked if he had been a target, Still, who signed Spillane when at Dagenham & Redbridge, said: “We had an initial interest in Mick if I’m honest, but at that time it was too expensive for us.”
