The 21-year-old French-Portuguese midfielder moved to Kenilworth Road on a contract to the end of the season this week.

Viana, who has represented Portugal at U17, U18 and U19 levels, started life at RC Strasbourg B, before moving to Spanish giants Atlético Madrid.

He then switched to MLS side Real Salt Lake before being released in the summer and signing for the Hatters.

Still said: “I don’t think it will be (a struggle), because of his age.

“It’s not like he’s 26 and it might take him a year, he’s 21.

“So if it takes him a year to adapt, he’s got all that time in front of him.”

Although Still had mentioned recently that in order to strengthen his squad, he would need to move a player on, that hasn’t proved the case.

The boss also didn’t rule out any further signings, particularly in defensive areas, while confirmed once his squad was fully fit, he will start looking to loan out his fringe players.
