Steadfast Brill deserved to be part of Town fightback

Hatters boss Paul Buckle felt goalkeeper Dean Brill deserved to be on the winning team despite his error during Saturday’s 2-1 win at Forest Green Rovers, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 26-year-old made his second debut for Town after an injury to first choice stopper Mark Tyler, but badly fumbled James Norwood’s cross for Rovers’ opener.

Buckle said: “Dean knows that it slipped through his hands, but I had a feeling we would win the game on the back of how much effort Dean Brill has put in.”
