Signing Jamie could be a helping Hand to developing Poku

THE emergence of midfielder Godfrey Poku during his time on loan at Southport has given Hatters manager Gary Brabin food for thought over the potential signing of Jamie Hand, writes Mike Simmonds.

Hand, 27, completed his three-month loan at the club last week and returned to Hayes & Yeading, while Poku’s deal at the Sandgrounders is up in early January.

The exuberant youngster has earned stunning reviews in his time at Haig Avenue, and they have filtered back to Brabin, who admitted it might alter his thinking on making a move to sign Hand.
