Richards expresses interest in Hatters captaincy

NEW signing Garry Richards has thrown his hat into the ring to be Town’s skipper this season, writes Mike Simmonds.

Luton are without a club captain currently after George Pilkington moved to Mansfield and regular deputy Keith Keane signed for Preston North End.

Richards, who was with League Two side Gillingham last year, said: “You’re always proud to be captain of your football club, but it’s the manager’s decision at the end of the day.”
