A statement on the Cards official website said: “Woking Football Club can confirm that Scott Rendell completed his loan period with the club on Boxing Day, and has returned to his parent club Luton Town.”

Defender Lathaniel Rowe-Turner’s loan move at Alfreton is also due to finish this week, and the Reds are hoping to hold on to the versatile player who has made 19 league appearances, including the full 90 as his side defeated Wrexham 1-0 yesterday.

Boss Nicky Law told BBC Derby: “I don’t see why it can’t (be extended).

“(John) Still and Lathaniel are positive to it, there’s just the financial side to be done.”

JJ O’Donnell and Jim Stevenson are both on loan at Hyde and Dartford respectively until January 4, with O’Donnell playing the full game as his side lost 3-0 to Macclesfield yesterday.

Whether the quartet will remain at the clubs, be recalled or go somewhere different, Still said: “We have had some talks, there are still some things going on either way.

“Hopefully things may continue, but if not, then we could put them elsewhere, as there’s still other clubs interested.

“It’s up to the players a little bit, I’m comfortable with what the players are doing at the moment.

“If there’s something else they want to do and the club wants them then we’ll look at that, but I’m comfortable at the moment.”
