Being recalled to Town’s starting XI was a big confidence boost for young midfielder Matt Robinson on Monday night, writes Mark Wood.

He was preferred to Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu in Town’s midfield, who had been struggling with an ankle injury.

Robinson said: “It’s always a confidence booster when the gaffer gives you the chance to start a game rather than be on the bench.”

And he’s now hoping to hold on to his place for when Chester City visit on Saturday.
